Description
This 1995 Land Rover Defender 110 is a left-hand-drive example that was refurbished and modified by Iberian LR in Portugal before being imported to the US by the selling dealer in 2023. Work consisted of installing a galvanized bulkhead and replacement body panels as well as repainting the body in green, installing a brown soft top, reupholstering the cabin in brown leather, and overhauling the steering, suspension, braking, and exhaust systems. A replacement 2.5-liter 300Tdi turbodiesel inline-four was also installed along with a five-speed manual transmission, a dual-range transfer case, and a locking center differential. Additional equipment includes Old Man Emu suspension components, 15″ steel wheels, air conditioning, a center console, inward-facing rear jump seats, and a wood-rim steering wheel.
The body was disassembled and fitted with a replacement galvanized bulkhead, windshield frame, doors, hood, fenders, B-pillars, rear tub, and stainless-steel floor panels during the project. It was subsequently refinished in its current shade of Grassmere Green according to the selling dealer, who notes that the brown soft top, windshield, door glass, rear bumper, mud flaps, and window seals were also replaced.
Replacement body color 15″ steel wheels are fitted over spacers and wear 235/85 Goodyear Wrangler MT/R tires. A matching spare is mounted on a swing-out Mantec carrier. The suspension and steering system were overhauled during the build process with Old Man Emu Sport shocks, springs, and dampers along with a replacement power steering box and pump, heavy-duty stabilizer bars, and bushings. Braking is handled by power-assisted four-wheel discs with a replacement master cylinder, vacuum pump, calipers, pads, rotors, and lines.
Brown leather upholstery with diamond-quilted stitching extends from the front bucket seats to the center console armrest, a second-row bench, four inward-facing rear jump seats, and each door panel. Color-coordinated leather covers the dashboard, B-pillars, shift knob, and boots for the shifter and handbrake. Amenities include carpeted floor mats with brown edging, inertia-reel seatbelts, air conditioning, and stainless-steel door sill guards.
The wood-rimmed steering wheel has an Iberian center emblem and fronts a 120-mph speedometer, an analog clock, and auxiliary gauges.
The replacement 2.5-liter 300Tdi turbodiesel inline-four was overhauled during the build and fitted with a replacement Garrett turbocharger, intercooler, radiator, starter, water pump, belts, and fuel injectors. The wiring harness, battery, fuse box, fuel tank, and sending unit were also replaced.
Power is delivered to all four wheels via a replacement R380 five-speed manual transmission, a dual-range transfer case, and a locking center differential. Replacement Gwyn Lewis prop shafts were also installed, as well as a custom stainless-steel exhaust system.
